Dive Master Roles;
• A Dive Master is a suitably qualified and experienced diver who is capable of organizing and conducting safe enjoyable dives for certified divers
• He/she is a person who can expertly match a dive site to suit the experience level of the participating divers in his or her group
• He/she is a person who is keenly aware of diver’s problems and possesses an ability to recognize and prevent potential problems before they manifest themselves in accidents or incidents
• A Dive Master is courteous, understand, helpful, knowledgeable, yet always in control
A Dive Master can be a:
• Dive Guide (possessing expert knowledge of the dive site)
• Dive supervisor (supervising and in charge of all divers in a particular group)
• Club Dive Master (sees to it that club safety rules are abided by/’check’ out new members for their skills/organizes and conduct club dives)
• Working, research of scientific Dive Master (Filming/Salvage/Archaeological work etc)
• Instructor’s assistant (able to assist a teaching instructor in the training of skin/scuba diving)
